Organize Memory items

Set dates, add owner labels and flags, pause work, and undo a deletion.

Open an item

Choose Memory in the navigation, then open an item to see its details. More item options opens its action sheet. A memory block groups items in a space; moving an item to another block in that space keeps its history.

For an unstarted item, Send to Today in the detail footer adds it to the queue without starting it. On Today means it is already queued. To begin immediately, choose in progress in the status controls or Start on Today in More item options; current work pauses when needed. An inactive space must be activated before queueing or starting work.

Choose a due date

Use Due to choose a suggested date or Pick due date for another day. Dated items join Today at that space’s daily rollover, which is shown beside the controls. A date that has already begun adds the item to Today now.

A due date does not expire or complete the item. None clears the date and its matching rollover reminder. A reminder set separately for another time stays in place. Remind me is available in the action sheet when you want a separate reminder.

Add context

Owner is a label: choose one person or Nobody. Changing it does not send a notification. Reopen a completed item before changing its owner or due date.

Flags are separate from progress. Choose Blocked or another flag, tap the selected flag to clear it, or choose New flag to create your own. A flag does not move the item into or out of Today.

Date, owner and flag choices save as you select them. Closing the panel does not undo a saved choice. Typed text for a new flag is only saved when you add it.

Pause and return later

The action sheet follows the item’s progress: Start on Today, Pause, Resume, Resume now, or Reopen. In detail, the footer shows Open Today for active work, Resume on Today for paused work, or Completed. Reopen with the checkbox; a previously started item reopens paused, keeping its history.

For started work, Postpone offers a return time. When a suitable event exists, After that event offers its end time. Check the displayed time before saving. Postponement puts the item on hold and keeps its due date unchanged.

Delete or undo

Choose Delete item in the detail footer or Delete in More item options to archive the item. The Undo message appears after the sheet closes. Choose Undo while that message is visible to restore the item with its recorded history. Undo applies to that deletion; it cannot reverse a newer deletion of the same item.

If an action cannot be saved, its error stays in the detail view or action sheet where you started it. Check the message and retry. A successful action updates the item before its action sheet closes.

Read the item’s history

History keeps recorded actions in order. Deleting an item records Archived; a successful Undo adds Restored · deletion undone. Earlier history remains visible.

Times are shown in the item’s space timezone. Loading history means the records are still being read. If the read fails, choose Retry history; an unavailable history is different from an item with no recorded activity.
